About Sewa Foundation
Sewa Foundation (SF) is a non-government organization which is established under the social welfare council of Nepal. SF is a non-profit organization has objective to provide basic health facilities to people from remote villages and people of the underprivileged. Among our initiatives, we provide free cleft surgeries in Nepal, championing health and hope. We also offer the following programs:
- Free cleft surgery
- School health program
- Maternity and child health
- Rehabilitation of cleft patients
- Disaster and emergency relief
- Research and surgical programs
Free cleft surgery
across Nepal
Our free cleft surgery program reaches families throughout Nepal. We cover surgery costs and support travel and logistics for patients and their guardians, including those from remote districts.
Children with clefts may also need nutritional support, dental care, and speech therapy. We focus on the whole patient through a comprehensive approach to cleft care.

A cleft is a gap in the upper lip, the roof of the mouth, or both. It is present from birth and can affect feeding, speech, hearing, and dental health.
Can clefts be treated?
Surgery is part of cleft treatment. A patient’s care may also involve nutrition, speech therapy, dental care, and ongoing support. Treatment is planned around the needs of each person.
